2. BOOKING & SERVICE

Photography services are confirmed only through direct communication and payment.
Filling out an inquiry form on this site does not confirm a booking.

Details regarding pricing, rescheduling, image delivery, and policies are provided in your client agreement and will be clearly outlined during your consultation.

3. CANCELLATIONS

We understand that life happens! We allow a one-time reschedule with at least 72 hours’ notice. Because we reserve this time just for you, no-shows or last-minute cancellations are not eligible for a refund.

4. IMAGE SELECTION & DELIVERY

Right after your session, you’ll review and select your favorite images on the spot — no waiting, no guesswork.

If you'd like to purchase additional images beyond what's included in your package, payment for those will be due immediately after selection.

Your final, professionally retouched images will be delivered via digital download within 48 hours, unless we’ve agreed otherwise.

5. USAGE RIGHTS

You’ll receive full personal and professional usage rights to your final selected images — including use across:

Websites

Social media

Email newsletters

Digital marketing

Press features

Print materials (like flyers, brochures, and signage)

Advertising and promotional use for your own business

You may not resell the images or use them for commercial resale (e.g., stock libraries, merchandise, or third-party distribution) without written permission.

6. PORTFOLIO USE

We may feature select images in our portfolio, website, social media, or promotional materials — including advertising and printed marketing.
We always choose and share thoughtfully, never anything sensitive or off-brand.

If you’d prefer your images not be used for any promotional purposes, just let us know in writing — no problem at all.

We also love celebrating the amazing people and businesses we work with. From time to time, we may share your name, business name, or logo in connection with your session — for example, in social media tags, blog features, or behind-the-scenes content.

If you'd prefer that we don’t reference or tag your brand publicly, please let us know in writing, and we’ll absolutely honor that request.

7. OWNERSHIP OF IMAGES

All images created remain the copyrighted property of Joanna Galant Photography LLC DBA The Modern Headshots — this is standard in professional photography.

You have broad usage rights for your selected images, but the original files and creative content remain under copyright unless otherwise licensed in writing.

8. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

We do our best to keep this site accurate, functional, and helpful — but we cannot be held responsible for:

Any errors, typos, or omissions on this site

Outcomes beyond our control (e.g., weather, location issues, client preparedness)

Damages resulting from your use of the site or services

Use of this site and all services is at your own discretion and risk.
